Xamarin was a very popular development tool even before Microsoft acquired them earlier this year however, after that happened these tools were made free and became even more of an attractive option for mobile developers.
At BUILD 2016, Microsoft gave Xamarin a front row spot onstage during keynotes, in side sessions and the integration into Microsoft developer tools continues.
To assist developers in getting up to speed on these handy tools, Microsoft has released a free eBook called Creating Mobile Apps with Xamarin.Forms.
The eBook is available in three formats:
- PDF (56MB)
- ePub (150MB)
- Mobi for Kindle (350MB)
This book is for C# programmers who want to write applications using a single code base that targets the three most popular mobile platforms: iOS, Android, and Windows, encompassing the Universal Windows Platform and Windows Phone.
Another free resource that is available for anyone interested in learning more about Xamarin is all of the Xamarin Evolved sessions from when that conference was held late last month in Orlando.
There is a wide variety of sessions available for on demand viewing across the following areas:
If you want a few more sessions to view you can also check out the Xamarin sessions from BUILD2016.
So, have you found any good resources for Xamarin training?
